Home Buying Timeline: 3 Months Out

By the time you're 90 days out from buying a house, you should have considered the kind of home you'd like and your budget range.

Now, you can meet with an agent and present your dreams to them!

A lot can change in the real estate market overnight: available listings change daily, interest rates fluctuate, and the economy and policies influence supply and demand. While it's fun to look at all the homes listed, keeping up with the changes becomes overwhelming. As a result, you can miss viable opportunities to place an offer on homes you're genuinely interested in. That's why it's essential to work with a real estate agent.

At 6th Ave Homes, we call our agents "Guides" because that's what they do for you. For the next 30 days, our guides will:

  • Understand your vision for the home of your dreams

  • Give you a rundown on the current market

  • Help you understand the buying process

  • Introduce the team you need to find and buy your home

  • Turn your budget into a financial plan

If you haven't sat down with a mortgage lender, your guide will introduce you to one. A good lender knows their way around real estate finance and will help you plan your mortgage to afford a suitable home without spending beyond your means.

Pre-approvals from lenders require a hard credit pull which impacts your credit score, but the pre-approval lasts 90 days. Therefore, we recommend having your credit score in a healthy place by this time to ensure you receive the loan amount you need.

Being 90 days from buying a home means you begin meeting with the experts and guides that will turn your dream into a reality, but that doesn't mean you have to wait until then to talk to one.

Schedule a Meet Up at any point in the process to learn more about buying your next home!
