Born a Kansan turned Horned Frog, ever since arriving at TCU I've been in love with Fort Worth. Day one I found myself wanting to better know my home away from home. I became friends with many of Fort Worth's business elite, numerous leaders and mentors from Christ Chapel, and even more people I consider my "street friends" on Lancaster Ave. Meeting people from these very different walks of life led to me knowing Forth Worth and ultimately myself a little better. I realized I was put here in Fort Worth for a very specific reason. Since graduating, I've been fortunate to do what I love (building and fixing things) to support  what I've been called to do: loving this city.

I can help guide you through the real estate process with my background in business sales and contract negotiations.

I was in mortgage banking for 10+ years. I owned a law firm/title company, real estate brokerage, tax lending company and debt buying company. I sold out of my businesses in 2011 and started trying to listen to and follow God. He started leading me to projects, opportunities and relationships where I could add value in non-profits and small businesses. Since then, I have just been trying to follow God wherever he wants to use me. It has granted me a lot of freedom and has been fun, though sometimes an uncomfortable way to live. I hope to have the faith and resolve to live this way forever. If I get it “wrong” I will have lived a good life and glorified God in the process. The greatest danger I see is the anxiety that comes from the uncertainty about tomorrow. Interestingly, we all have uncertainty about tomorrow. It is just that I previously used long range planning and an arbitrary amount of material assets to counter my anxiety. Though I still plan and have material assets, I no longer place my faith in them to give me peace.

Im excited that one of the businesses I get to work with is 6th Ave! I am honored that Jamey and Jimmy asked me to be a part of their growing tribe and I love helping them figure out how to help their tribe members leverage their strengths to accomplish their goals in life. It is a chance for me to work with the willing, I believe that God is glorified through this work, and I am energized to be a part of it.

I met my amazing TCU frog of a wife and quickly decided I was here to stay.

I’m a Fort Worth local, though I caught a wind chasing dreams after high school. Since studying communication of a global scope through university, I’ve been fortunate enough o have visited 46 countries, working and volunteering in 11 of them. Being tempted by unknown horizons, I had expanded a passion to serve underdeveloped communities around the globe through international development efforts, gaining a variety of entrepreneurial capacity building skills for the scaling and implementation of infrastructure opportunities in political economy.

After over a decade away from home and family, I’ve returned to reconnect with my roots of an intent to contribute to and learn from the prosperity here while encouraging values supportive to personal growth and the abundant economic opportunity within our community. It is a great privilege to have grown with Fort Worth and I hope to further growth through the application of real estate and property management as a means for expanding upon the community oriented values and socially-conscious entrepreneurship model that is 6th Ave Homes.

Interesting Fact : I served my first volunteer project during a summer in Mexico, supporting sea turtle conservation efforts for certain species on the brink of extinction. Also, I lived 3 years in a mud hut without electricity or running water in subsaharan Africa….

I grew up on a horse ranch in Central Texas and while I’m still a country girl at heart, Fort Worth is home! I originally moved to Granbury about 16 years ago but spent a lot of time enjoying everything Fort Worth has to offer. In 2010 I got married and moved a few hours away for my husband’s job. 3 years later we had our son, Callan. We often talked about moving to Fort Worth one day. Well about 3 years ago I was bored and started browsing for houses in Fort Worth with no real expectations of actually purchasing gone. It just os happened to be the week of my birthday and my husband jokingly said, “Do you want a house for your birthday?” I laughed and started showing him a house I had found online and he insisted I contact the agent so we could see it in person.

Next thing I know, we were buying our first house and moving to Fort Worth after talking about it for years! We have no doubt that we made the right choice and we love raising our son in this unique and amazing city full of small town charm! I’m truly looking forward to helping others find their perfect place to call home and create many happy memories in!

Favorite watering hole in Fort Worth: Well I wish I had a cool answer but I’m a mom of an active 5 year old boy so I don’t get to many watering holes these days. I’m perfectly content hanging out as a family in our backyard while enjoying any drink made by my husband. He makes them better than I do!

What do you love about your job :  Working to help people accomplish a major milestone is a very rewarding and exciting experience. As the saying goes, “choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life”!

Interesting Fact : My husband and I, along with our toddler, spent two and a half years traveling the US for my husbands job. We moved to a new location about every 3 months. People often ask me where my favorite place was that we lived while traveling and I never know how to answer because I left a little piece of my heart at every location. Lake Tahoe and Key West offered a lot of amazing outdoor activities so it may be a tie between those two

I grew up in the DFW area for most of my life, predominately in the city of Mansfield. Being tucked in between Dallas and Ft Worth you really find yourself getting to experience a lot of what each city has to offer. I love both cities so much but I’ve always felt like I could relate better with Fort Worth. Fell in love with the fact that the pace was so much slower while still having so many fun things to offer as a city.

I’ve spent the last 4-5 years away from this amazing city however because of some really great ministry opportunities I’ve had the privilege of being involved in. Spent my college years down in College Station, then I ventured off to Raleigh, NC. From there I had the incredible opportunity to spend 11 months in India doing ministry. I decided it was time to finally come back home and the good lord blessed me with the incredible job in the industry that I’ve had a heart for since I was a kid! Excited to be back in this city and grateful to be doing this work!
