Jamey Ice has been buying, remodeling and selling homes in Fort Worth since 2010. After renovating his first home with wife Melissa, Jamey teamed up with best friend Jimmy Williams to create 6th Ave Homes. When he isn’t hard at work, you can find Jamey playing and traveling with his critically-acclaimed band, Green River Ordinance, honing in on his photography skills and hanging at his restaurant and coffee shop, BREWED, with Melissa and daughter Roosevelt Pearl. Favorite watering hole in Fort Worth : I may be biased, but I have to say BREWED! TX craft beer and artisan coffee, does it get any better?  

What do you love about your job :  I love getting to be creative as we work on these old houses. You get to restore and bring back to life, but you also get to innovate and add our own fun twist and design style. I also love getting to see great family find their dream home.

Interesting Fact : It's my life dream to kill a big crocodile with a knife.

 

Jimmy Williams

Jimmy Williams has been in the world of construction and real estate since childhood. From laying bricks as a teenager to helping his father build properties from the ground up, he developed a fundamental understanding of flipping homes before pursuing a career at the Fort Worth Police Department. Jimmy, wife Waverlee and sons James and Hunter call 6th Avenue on the Near Southside their home. In his free time, Jimmy enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors — bringing a taste of the country to their city home.

Beverage of Choice : It;s a tie between a good Brown Ale and Mexican Coke. I could drink both in the same sitting.

Current obsession : I've recently become obsessed with Spear Fishing. My goal is to spear a fish the size of me and eat it.

Cant Live with out : Spending time outside with my rock Waverlee, and my boys, James and Hunter. Whether it's deer hunting or just sitting on the front porch, outside always beats inside for us. 

Non Profit of Choice : Completely biased, but The Net 

Favorite Meal in Fort Worth : Another tie but if it's breakfast then tacos at Dos Molina's in the North-side. If it's dinner or lunch, I would have to say Heim BBQ; best brisket in the city.

Favorite watering hole in Fort Worth : Ye Olde Bull and Bush. I actually had my bachelor party at this pub. Relaxed and rarely overcrowded, this is a local gem. 

What do you love about your job : I love bringing restoration to everything. Whether it's taking a run down house and breathing life into it, the relationships we have with our contractors, to working with someone to find their dream home, I love trying to perfect those things.  

Interesting Fact : I have been in 3 near death experiences and all 3 have been because of or with Jamey Ice.

What do you love about your job :  I'm an obsessive catalyst. I often can't sleep at night, because I'm trying to connect people with stuff of value.  In real estate that means connecting people with the perfect home.  I love helping people find value and bringing a smile to their face.  

Interesting Fact : This so ages me, but at the age of 4, my parents took me to see the King himself, Elvis Presley at the Tarrant County Convention Center!

 

Rachel Bass

I was born and raised not too far down the road from Fort Worth. Went to Texas A&M University, drank the kool-aid, and came away with a Bachelor’s in Business. I have roots in Fort Worth, but made it my home in 2014.

Interesting Fact : I went canyoning (Google it) in Austria while studying abroad, hiking in the Grand Canyon, and am always seeking another adventure. 

 

Jim Reed

Born a Kansan turned Horned Frog, ever since arriving at TCU I've been in love with Fort Worth. Day one I found myself wanting to better know my home away from home. I became friends with many of Fort Worth's business elite, numerous leaders and mentors from Christ Chapel, and even more people I consider my "street friends" on Lancaster Ave. Meeting people from these very different walks of life led to me knowing Forth Worth and ultimately myself a little better. I realized I was put here in Fort Worth for a very specific reason. Since graduating, I've been fortunate to do what I love (building and fixing things) to support  what I've been called to do: loving this city.

Jerry Williams has been in the mortgage business since 2005. He has been featured in D Magazine and Texas Monthly as one of the top lenders in DFW consecutively from 2012 to 2016. Obsessed with making the mortgage process easy, he founded Steadkey; a technology solution company that makes the loan approval and buying process easy. When he isn't working, he is at home hanging with his wife Lauren and 3 kids Merci, Shepherd and Aylay

Kelly Patry 

 

Growing up I dreamed about becoming an interior designer, but ended up with a degree in Marketing. After several years in the corporate world I knew it was time to reconnect to the real estate and design world. My passion for design allows me to help buyers see a vision to make a house their home. I can help guide you through the real estate process with my background in business sales and contract negotiations. 

I grew up in Austin, but quickly fell in love with Fort Worth while attending TCU. Fort Worth reminds me of Austin with the city pride and eclectic style, but I love the small town community that we have here. I am lucky to live her and look forward to helping other call Fort Worth Home

Favorite Meal in Fort Worth : Benitos Mexican Cuisine. I pride myself as a queso connoisseur and they have the best queso I have ever had.

Favorite watering hole in Fort Worth : Bird Cafe. You cant go wrong with the unique cocktails, a restored building, and downtown's Sundance Square.

What do you love about your job : Getting to use my strengths: creativity, problem solving, and project management while serving others. I love meeting so many new people and helping them make the Dallas Fort Worth area their home. Being able to guide each client through the real estate process is important to me so I can ensure they feel comfortable and confident with every transaction. 

Interesting Fact : I am a part time professor at TCU teaching a class in the business school on Organizational Management. Being able to come back to my alma mater and mentor students on their future careers has been so rewarding.

 

Troy Austin

I am an entrepreneur, have been a real estate broker since 2004, and am an almost fully recovered attorney with 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry. In January 2011, I sold out of my law firm and other related businesses. I stepped into the world of vocational ministry in 2012 with the National Christian Foundation to establish a Generosity Ministry to the Energy Sector. God recently provided the next ministry role with 6Stones, a city transformation platform in the Mid-Cities area of the Metroplex. Some of my strengths include developing and implementing strategies particularly those that involve technology and alliances with other organizations. I have been a relationship builder in my own businesses as well as in my prior employment. Furthermore, I thoroughly enjoy the start up process and the challenge of learning new industries, especially when combined with helping others.

Christine Zeiler

My husband, my 1 year old daughter and our German Shorthaired Pointer dog, make up our little family. We have lived in Fairmount for 3 years now and moved from Nashville TN. Before that I lived in Athens GA where I got my BFA in interior design at The University of Georgia.  When I'm not designing or working on projects I prefer to be outside with my family, eating at local restaurants or traveling.

What do you love about your job : I love that it's different everyday. I love the challenge of getting to know my clients and designing spaces that fit their needs/function but also have great style. I love that my creative outlet has purpose- I get to create and restore spaces for people to gather, work, live, host and do life in.  

Interesting Fact : I have hiked the Inca Trail 

 

GRetchen Herb

I grew up in Weatherford and probably developed a love of old homes from first living in that small town with so much history.  I always knew I wanted to do something with art, but wasn't able to define it until college.  I went Baylor University where I got my BSFCS in interior design.  I've been blessed with many different opportunities - working in a showroom to managing million dollar projects in Sundance Square.  My most recent job was designing homes for Fixer Upper.  My husband and I live in Benbrook with our daughter with one more girl on the way!  When I'm not designing, I still enjoy painting and I'm honing my pattern making and clothing design as well.  I'll be attempting to homeschool my daughter in fall.  Say a prayer.

What do you love about your job : Something that really surprised me about design is how much you step into someone's life as a designer.  Designing someone's house well requires getting to know their habits, their preferences, their way of life.  The fact that this is my mission is incredible to me.  I relish learning who people are and ministering to them through creating a home just for them.  It's such a privilege!

Interesting Fact : I seriously considered changing the trajectory of my life toward aeronautical/astronautical engineering in high school.  I really wanted to be an astronaut. (Still kind of do.)

Preston Patry

Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to be involved with real estate. My grandmother was a real estate agent, and taught me the value of property and real estate. As one of the largest investments you will make, I look forward to guide you in finding that perfect place. 

I grew up in Dallas, and attended TCU for college. I quickly fell in love with the laid back feel of Fort Worth. History and restoration are some of my passions, so the historic homes in Fairmount are right up my alley.

Interesting Fact : Cooking is a passion. I got this from my grandfather, who was a French chef. He was brought to American from France to open the Old Warsaw in Dallas. He later opened his own restaurant, Patry's. It closed in the 80s, but my brothers and I hope to re-open it one day.

Paul Jenkins

Paul was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA where he spent most of his youth playing sports. He earned a B.A. in Construction Management at Louisiana Tech University and was also a scholarship wide receiver on the football team. Paul has 16 years of professional construction experience, and has been a real estate agent for 4 years. Paul is also a seasoned bass guitarist and currently plays with the band Left Arm Tan and artist Luke Wade. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Arden, and their 5 children.
